Dr. Scott Muri

Scott R. Muri became the Superintendent of Schools in Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) on July 1, 2015, leading SBISD to become one of the first Districts of Innovation in Texas. Immediately prior to joining SBISD, Dr. Muri served as the Deputy Superintendent of Academics for Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Muri also held leadership roles in North Carolina’s Charlotte- Mecklenburg School District including Chief Information Officer as well as Area and Zone Superintendent.

Dr. Muri also strongly believes in the importance of a great teacher in every learning environment and a great principal leading every school.

Dr. Muri graduated with a bachelor’s degree in intermediate education and middle school education from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
